Running was always our passion. But can you perform well with a plant based diet?!? ....YES, you can! VR finished the first 100% VEGAN Marathon (42.2k) animal friendly and FULL OF ENERGY to qualify for Boston. And we will Rock Boston in 2024. In May 2023 VR committed to the Buffalo Marathon in New York.
Vegan is no must, but a well balanced and healthy diet (perhaps even plant based) is key for a high performing body and mind. VR LOVES to motivate, encourage, and leave people more mindful of a healthy routine.
It all started off with a finished soccer career after injury and the goal to stay active. A running book that also helped me to prepare for my first Marathon suggested a “healthy running diet”, which turned me a long time ago already into a “healthy runner”. Whole grain, no pork, less or little sugar, more fresh veggies and cereal etc. I started to build my knowledgebase and experiences with both running and healthy food.
